CONSTANTS FOR MOLECULES OF ASTROPHYSICAL INTEREST IN THE GAS PHASE: PHOTODISSOCIATION, MICROWAVE AND INFRARED SPECTRA. The molecular data compilation may be obtained from http://wwwusr.obspm.fr/~crovisie/basemole/ The following ASCII files are in the directory: base-readme.txt present text (plain ASCII) intro42.rtf introduction, description and index of the compilation (~17 pages) intro42.ascii idem, in plain ASCII moletot42.rtf the compilation itself (~272 pages) moletot42.ascii idem, in plain ASCII trimole40.rtf a sorted list of vibrational bands (12 pages) trimole40.ascii idem, in plain ASCII The files to use are those in the RTF format (those with the .rtf extension). They are intended to be transferred to a Mac or a PC and treated with WORD (or a compatible word processor). The files were originally created by WORD (Version 5) on a Mac. Because WORD for Mac and for PC are not fully compatible, a few minor defects appear when displaying the compilation on a PC. Files in plain ASCII (those with the .asc extension) are also provided. Their use is discouraged, since special characters, tabulations etc... are lost. They could be helpful if the other files cannot be used or for accessing the data with, e.g., sorting programs. The compilation is intended to be regularly updated. The present version (4.2) is that of May 2002. In the future, it is intended to convert this compilation into LaTeX (for improved presentation, more versality and independence from commercial word processors) and to provide an hypertext version.
