Research area : Solar physics My work is focused on the understanding of the Sun's magnetic activity, which is the main driver of space weather. I am specialized in the development of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) models, of strongly magnetized features which occur in the Sun's atmosphere. MHD is the area of physics which permits to study the structure and dymanics of electrically conducting fluids and their coupling with magnetic fields. My colleagues and I use these models for the understanding of specific observed events (recorded by various ground-based and space instruments), as well for the finding of generic physical processes at work in the Sun's atmosphere.studied solar features : coronal mass ejections - coronal outflows - delta spots - emerging flux - filaments - flares - sigmoids
use of solar instruments : SoHO - TRACE - THEMIS - STEREO - Hinode - SDO
