First Circular of NBYM12 Symposium (Nov. 20-23 at Nagoya U.) Title: Solar Physics with Radio Observations - Twenty Years of Nobeyama Radioheliograph and Beyond – http://st4a.stelab.nagoya-u.ac.jp/SPRO2012/ Date: November 20 (Tue.) -- 23 (Fri.), 2012 Venue: Symposion Hall in Nagoya University (D3-5 in http://www.nagoya-u.ac.jp/en/global-info/access-map/higashiyama/ ) address: Furo-cho, Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Aichi 464-8601, Japan access: http://www.nagoya-u.ac.jp/en/global-info/access-map/access/ SOC: K. Shibasaki (chair), S. Masuda, T. Yokoyama, K. Ichimoto, M. Shimojo, A. Asai, T. Bastian, D. Gary, N. Gopalswamy, V. Melnikov, V. Nakariakov LOC: S. Masuda (chair), STEL staff, NSRO staff Objective of the meeting: Nobeyama Radioheliograph (NoRH) has been observing the Sun since 1992. This year is the 20th year of science operation. Instruments are still in good shape and producing images of the Sun every day with the same quality as the beginning. Due to the nature of the instrument and long and uniform observations, data can be used for wide variety of solar physics and also for solar terrestrial physics. To mark the 20 years of operation, we will organize a symposium to summarize what has been done with NoRH and to discuss what we should do in the future. Papers to be presented in the meeting will mainly be in connection with the results from NoRH and future plans. Important Dates: Abstract submission: June 20 - September 20, 2012 Financial Support Application: June 20 - September 20, 2012 Registration: June 20 - October 20, 2012 Sponsors: The Kyoto University Foundation Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory, Nagoya University Nobeyama Solar Radio Observatory, NAOJ/ NINS
