Abstract

The Mauna Kea site is unique by its number of large apertures corrected by adaptive optics, its quality for astronomy and ranges of distances between existing telescopes. This site is particularly well suited to realize a sensitive and highly resolving interferometer with a maximum baseline of 800 m: 'OHANA. We present the current status of the project and some examples of astronomical science cases.
