The pulsation of Cepheids : Observation & Theory

A small workshop to be held next Feb. 2-4 at Paris Observatory. Attendance will be limited to about 30 persons, mostly invited speakers.

The goal of the workshop is to foster interaction between theoreticians modelling Cepheids and interferometrists who measure their radii, pulsation and other observables, in order to identify the needs of both groups and what each group can provide to the other one.

The format includes a tutorials session, two sessions presenting the state of the art on the observationnal and modelling front, and a large part of the time will be devoted to discussion once the lectures from the two groups have been achieved in order to try to converge towards common objectives.
