Open Doors Day all over Europe June 10, 2007

 

 

Following the discussions on outreach activities during the first European General Assembly of IHY, an open-doors day is proposed all over Europe. It concerns all laboratories/observatories/institutes which investigation topics are related to the International Heliophysical Year and the International Polar Year ----> the letter sent to the IPY leaders

 

The idea is to receive the public in the research institutes to explain our work and science. Of course, it may be difficult for some institutes to open the doors. So any other kind of animation is welcome: exhibitions in the main city places, discussions in bars (like philosophers organize in Paris), specific talks in museum, radio and/or TV shows etc ...

 

The list of the institutes already involved is rapidly increasing. Come back often to check the name of the laboratories implicated and the description of the foreseen activties.
