- IHY exhibition in Bochum
The opening of the IHY exhibition in Bochum went well as well as the girls day, where 30 girls visited the Planetarium Bochum. We are currently in the process on updating the webpage correspondingly.
- IHY Meeting in Bad-Honnef:
The meeting was very well attended and most people enjoyed the week. On Friday and Saturday (18.05-19.05) we had a CIP meeting of the Cosmic ray heliospheric comunity. There we had the suggestion to repeat this meeting together with the Warsaw IHY workshop. However, beside this dedicated CIP meetings the suggestion is to have the possibilities for meetings at other IHY activities.
At the IHY meeting we had some interviews in the DLF (broadcast). For more details, look at here and here.
- Interviews to broadcast TV show:
Alexander Warmuth and colleaques in Potsdam had recently the chance to give interviews to the broadcast and tv. More details here and here
- Weekly Public IHY Lectures in the Göttingen Pauliner Church
The weekly Public IHY Lectures in the Göttingen Pauliner Church building are well attended and broadly reflected in the media.
The Göttingen exhibition "Our Sun - the Fire of Life" also in the Pauliner Church will be finished in 5 days after a succesfull monthlong showing of the history of the investigation of the Sun and heliosphere, introducing the newest results including a large high-resolution screen presentation of the current brand new Stereo results, attracting children - our future researchers to our field as well as grown ups, enhancing the visibility of heliophysics investigations. A Kick-off meeting for the heliospheric CIPs will be held in in Bad- Honnef close to Cologne on the 19.05.2007, just after the IHY 2007 workshop "Heliophysics: The Sun, the Heliosphere and the Earth" from 13.05.2007 to 18.05.2007.The location is the Physikzentrum in Bad Honnef
